We believe that purchasing a puppy to be a very personal and important investment. You are investing in a lifelong companion who will be a new addition of your family. For this reason we do not sell puppies on the Internet, rather the Internet affords us the opportunity of showing you our dogs and hopefully give you a clear picture what we are all about.
Our dogs are respected and loved by us and each puppy bred by our dogs are nurtured, cared and loved. We take pride in our dogs and their offspring, so we strive to make it sure that each puppy goes to a caring, loving and responsible home.
The process in purchasing a puppy from us allows you, the purchaser an opportunity to get to know our dogs and us; as well as gaining a sense of confidence and comfort in dealing with us. Likewise, it allows us an opportunity to meet you, if possible: and get to know you.
We like to make sure that a Golden Retriever is the right Breed for you.
We as breeders of this wonderful breed believe in not only selling puppies but also educating the public, as need to be.
If you wish to proceed further in inquiring about purchasing a puppy, please e-mail us with your name and telephone number, or ask for our telephone number to proceed with the details.
What is the next step?
We will invite you to visit our dogs.
At the initial visit we will ask you to complete a questionnaire, which is not meant to be intrusive, but give us a general information about yourself and the kind of puppy you are looking for. This will enable us to match the right puppy with you.
You do ultimately pick your own puppy.
We have a deposit policy sheet which outlines in detail what your are guaranteed with a deposit for a puppy. We ask you to sign two copies. One copy you keep and return the other to us.
We will review and discuss the sales agreement and guarantee for the puppy.
Once you have given us a deposit for a puppy and the puppies are born, we encourage you to come for a few visits to see the puppies grow and develop.
At six weeks you will choose your puppy.
...and the puppy gets his/her first vaccination and examined by our veterinarian who comes to our home.
At seven weeks the puppy can go home with you. If however the puppy is travelling some distance and is being shipped by air, then the puppy will stay with us until they are 9 weeks old.
Each puppy is sold as being registered with the
Canadian Kennel Club and you will receive a Certificate of ownership which is sent to you after your puppy has gone home and settled in his/her new home for awhile.
Unless you are a reputable & respected breeder known to us; all of our puppies are sold on a Canadian Kennel Club non breeding contract. This means that the puppies are sold as companion/pets and are to be spayed or neutered for our guarantee to be affective. On occasion we will sell a puppy to some of our breeder colleagues who are ethical and abide by the code of ethics of the Golden Retriever Club.
We do this to protect our puppies from indecriminate & irresponsible breeding, or ending up in a puppy farm.
With each puppy we provide a Puppy package which includes pictures of the parents and grandparents with all of their health clearances and a five generation pedigree.
A feeding guide as to what the puppy diet is and how much to feed and when to switch to adult food. General health information as to date the puppy was dewormed and received his/her first vaccination shots. Also a health Certificate from the veterinarian.
If you are inquiring a puppy from a long distance, then we proceed in the same manner except that we mail the questionnaire, deposit policy and the copies our sales agreement to you. We will ask for a reference from you such as the name of your veterinarian. We will contact him/her to make sure that the puppy that is traveling a long distance is going to a caring and responsible home.
If you have any further question please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be glad to assist you.
Thank you for your interest in our kennel. We trust that we have helped you and we look forward to speaking with you soon.
